Hi all, I'm new here so just thought I'd say hello to anyone who wishes to chat. I'm going for my diagnostic lap and a hysteroscopy on Monday, i can't wait to finally have it done after being on the waiting list for a year but I'm also nervous they won't find anything as thats just my luck and I'll forever be fobbed off with it "being hormonal" and to "suck it up" Thanks all

Hi,I got referred for diagnostic lap and hysteroscopy last Thursday by my gynae, how long was your wait for them? I rang my hospital today and they said it’s 3 months but after reading some peoples waiting times on here, I’m worried it will be a lot longer!

Hey! Its good to hear you have been reffered but i was put on the waiting list a year ago and I'm only just getting it done. Covid has a lot to answer for! I hope it is alot sooner for you though

Oh wow that’s crazy!! Hopefully waiting times are less now, don’t know how you waited a year! It’s so frustrating that it can’t be done much sooner so you can get the help and support needed. I think that’s what I’m finding the most frustrating at the moment. I’ve had biopsies taken and scans done and they couldn’t find what was causing my problems and they’ve only just decided that I need to have the surgery to investigate further. Hope all goes well for Monday hun.

Thank you Its very frustrating as we shouldn't have to push when we are in pain but stick with it and keep pushing if you think its taking too long or its getting worse! X
