Hi, so I have been struggling with symptoms of Endo for around 8 years now. One year ago, I was hospitalised with severe pelvis/abdo pain, sent home with no diagnosis and told by Gynae doctor, not endo due to not being on my period!
I am now thankfully under a Gynaecologist who suspects Deep Inf.. bowel endo, as well as diagnosed ovary attached to uterus through Ultrasound. I am awaiting MRI to properly plan surgery.
My question is, has anyone found supplements, change of diet to anti-inflammatory diet helps?

Hello, I am sorry to hear this. I have recently gone to an anti-inflammatory diet and this has helped soooo much. Especially avoid Red Meat, Gluten, Wheat, Dairy & Refined/Carbs Sugar!
That is what I am considering trying. But it just is so overwhelming to start so I may start with excluding one thing at a time to make it easier for me to adopt! How have you seen a positive impact?
I want to make a difference where I can but also, it is hard to make such a big change and I am a little worried that I will not feel 'satisfied' if that makes since. I will give it a go though, thank you!
I agree, it was very overwhelming at the start but I did the same and would slowly reduce certain foods such as bread, cheese & milk. So each week I would have a few meals that were gluten/dairy free and slowly I was noticing an improvement which made me more willing to try eliminate 90% of the time. It really has helped but just means that when I do eat dairy and gluten I notice massive flare-ups! But I would recommend x
Hi Polly! I am a clinical nutritionist. There are anti-inflammatory foods, not diets out there. Everyone is different therefore your meal plans should be personalized. I’d recommend you to read about Low FODmap. It’s a 3-phase diet during which you can eliminate trigger foods and you can live a more comfortable life pain wise. All the best! x
Hi, I'm glad you have found a good gynaecologist now. Everyone responds to things differently, but I found making changes to my diet made a big difference to my symptoms. For me taking out wheat, sugar, caffeine and alcohol really helps along with putting in lots of anti-inflammatory foods like fruit and veg. Some people find red meat and dairy produce can aggravate symptoms too. Good luck.
Hello currently reading this book authors are from the USA. It suggests a FODMAP diet, alternative supplements and strategies to cope with pain and explore all options including surgery when required. Great recipe section not as overwhelming when starting out.
