Hi guys.

I'm new here, I saw my consultant for the first time last month who has booked me in for a mri and to start hormone injections in 2 weeks. My ultrasound scan came back showing a stuck ovary.

I just wanted to ask if getting really cold is an endo symptom? I'm due on next week, been have all the aches and pains.. But i also can't warm up at all x

Hi! I’m not sure we can say it’s a symptom of endo, but I think it might be connected to the “overworked immune system” theory?? I’ve seen lots of sufferers mention feeling cold. I’ve got deep endo and feel the cold and/or changes in temperature really badly. I lose circulation in my extremities really easily and get numb fingers/toes that sometimes turn navy blue & are pretty painful! The doc diagnosed Reynauds disease. Apart from that, I generally seem to have a broken thermostat, as I overheat quite easily in Summer heat too! 😂 I’m most comfortable indoors & cope by wearing gloves if I venture out, two pairs of socks and many layers!

Hi, this used to be one of my main symptoms for a long time and my life evolved around keeping warm. I could not have my pelvic area not covered with a long coat if you know what I mean. All these symptoms dissapeared once my vit D, and iron levels went back to normal. Worth checking on that. I have deep infliltrated stage 4 endo. Hope it helps

I don't think it is. But being cold all the time is often common when you have problems with your thyroid gland and that can be more common if you have endo. You can just get your GP to do a blood test.

Hi MancGirl85

I second having your thyroid and Vit D levels checked as cold is a symptom of both. And if it has been happening in the last couple of months I would suggest Vit D as the weather has changed!

I had a horrendous time in the spring and it turned out that it was because my Vit D levels were so low and its happening now becauase the waether has changed. Do you have any other symptoms?

Vit D has been shown to have links to uterine fibroids so it can aggravate our endo symptoms. It took me ages to realise that it was just my normal symptoms.

Xx

Being cold can be an anaemia symptom, which is common with heavy periods/endo bleeding.

I also recommend bloods. Im constantly anaemic due to heavy bleeding and it makes me super cold! My hot water bottle is my best friend!
