Had laparoscopy 12 days ago to remove endometriosis along with IUD Merina coil insertion. Bleeding wise up to now Ive only blead for 6 days. Just seem to have a lot of back pain and stomach cramps doing a physical job and having the back pain isnt the best. I also feel my mood is low I suffer with depression anyway I just feel worse than I normally would my mind is racing, I'm teary and so down is this normal? And will it subside? Another question when you've had endo removed do you feel the benifits straight away or does it take time ?

Hi mo222

Great that your laparoscopy went well, removal of endometriosis is a complex surgery and it does take time to fully recover from it, and it's different for everyone. It is definitely normal to be feeling emotional following a laparoscopy, you can read about this on the Endometriosis UK website here: endometriosis-uk.org/your-l...

If you'd like to speak to someone about what you're going through, you can call our helpline which is operated by people with endometriosis. The rota is here: endometriosis-uk.org/helpline

You're not alone, the community is here to support you. Hope you continue to recover well, and give yourself all the rest that you need! 😊
