Zoladex and contraception?

I was given Zoladex after a lengthy surgery to remove endometriosis.

I was also led to believe it was a contraceptive! What is the best contraceptive to use alongside this treatment?

I'm not a medical expert, but Zoladex definitely isn't a contraceptive! Yes you're going through menopause essentially, but from what I understand it's not a instant thing and your body will try to do its normal processes. I would talk to the nurse who administered it, if it was one at your GP surgery like mine was they would be able to advise on contraceptive too. I would assume maybe a mini pill (Progesterone only) as that doesn't have estrogen that would feed endo. Good luck!
