Does anyone have any suggestions for pain relief without more opioids?

I was thinking of getting a TENs machine. Can you use pads on abdomen and back?

HiI’ve used a tens machine before but it wasn’t the right fit for me. I now use beyou period patches on my stomach and back, they do not contain pain relief medication only herbal and they make me feel some comfort.

Hopefully you find something that suits you soon! X

Thank you. Someone else has mentioned the patches. At this point I will try anything. I have just bought a TENS machine. Fingers crossed 🤞

I use a tens machine developed for menstral pains and endo pains with some success - I'd recommend personally! It's small enough that I can wear it all the time if needed and no one would know!

I have been thinking of getting a tens machine now I’ve had surgery (last week - finally!!). I was taking a painkiller called nefopam along with paracetamol and ibuprofen every day. They did help, along with the coil which I agreed to have fitted until I could get a laparoscopy.

I am hoping once I’ve recovered from the surgery I will be able to stop taking the painkillers all the time! 🤞🤞

I find a wheat bag heated in the microwave helps. The Tens machine pads irritated my skin I found.

You can get an electric heat pad. Mine has a timer and various levels of heat.

You could try the anti-inflammatory diet. Suggest you google Jessica from “This Endo Life”.

Supplements, books, reels with testimonies and so much more help there.

Be You patches are well expensive. I use a different brand, much cheaper for £21 I got 60 patches.

I used a 10TEN machine for 20yrs.I think its great! Never put the contacts at the site of the pain. Never on the Abdomen! Put the pads on the sides of body or on back above the waistline 120mm from the spine either side. Try the back pain setting at 1st. Set about 3. So brain can feel the pulse but not so it's uncomfortable. The electric pads should gate the pain from the brain. Then turn down to 2 or 1 within a 5mins your Endo pain should get less. If not try other settings. It is trial and error but the result is good. So many people have the setting too high and put the Pads too near the pain. Belladonna for pain and spasms. Painkillers as well and Fennel Tea.
