Laparoscopy side effects or monthly cycle?

After 10 years of pain, numerous trips to the doctors & several scans, I was finally referred & had a laparoscopy 3 days ago & was diagnosed with endometriosis which they also treated at the same time. I was due on my period around the same day as the op but never came on & pregnancy test was negative. Now 3 days post op, I have pain in my right hand side and bleeding which feels just like my period. Is this likely to be my cycle? Or side effects from the laparoscopy? Thanks

Hi, I had a laparoscopy last week on day 4 of my cycle and I think the procedure shocked my body into stopping my period! To be honest I'd probably contact the hospital where I had the procedure with any concerns as they should be able to advise - I had to do the same when my one of my dressings got soaked in the shower and I ended up with a really sore wound the day after surgery.

Hope you can get an answer and the recovery goes well.
