New here! Pre consultation advice?

Hi everyone,

I had a hospital stay 4 weeks ago, initially they suspected appendicitis however after some ultrasounds, blood tests and a CT with contrast they found a cyst on my right ovary and suspect endometriosis. I have never really suffered with period pains apart from the last few months but the pain that sent me to A&E was like nothing I had experienced (which is why they thought it was my appendix). I was discharged after 4 days and sent home with 2 weeks of 2 lots of antibiotics for inflammation (my infection markers were not high) and some pain killers. I have since felt fine - some mild cramping but totally manageable. I am so scared this pain will happen again (I'm due this week) so wonder if any one could share some pain management tips?

I also have a telephone appointment with the specialist on Thursday (the Dr from the hospital, not my GP) Are there any questions I should ask them or tests I could ask for to save some time - I have read sometimes diagnosis can take a while. I have also read it could be PCOS or a thyroid condition - again is this something that should be investigated?

Thank you in advance!
