Hi everyone , I need a bit of a rant and some advice. For the past two weeks Iāve been getting some new symptoms and theyāre very concerning and making me feel so ill and stopping me from leaving the house. These symptoms are basically how you would feel if you had an infection or the flu.. feeling really hot, excessive sweating, headache, fatigue, heart palpitations. I just want to sleep all the time.
Iāve had a blood test and everything is normal but doctor said these are not typical symptoms of endometriosis so Iām just stuck as to what it could be! I have had these symptoms before but the past few weeks they have really amped up and left me feeling really poorly on a daily basis. Itās really effecting my mental health too which also worries me because Iāve suffered with anxiety and depression in the past and I donāt want them to put it all down to anxiety when itās the illness thatās causing the anxiety and not the other way around.
Some things to note are that Iāve just had a period that lasted 4 weeks .. at first I thought maybe anaemia but blood test proves not. Doctors say symptoms match up to thyroid issues but blood tests prove not. Iām really struggling with it. Does anyone know if it could be endo causing this? Has anyone else with endometriosis had these types of symptoms?
I have a doctorās appointment booked for next week, theyāre mostly concerned about the palpitations but think itās likely anxiety causing that but I just feel so poorly. Itās like Iāve constantly got some sort of infection. Also, Iām currently on a waiting list to see a endo specialist and for him to do a laparoscopy to see the extent of the endometriosis.

Hi Iām having similar symptoms, Iām assuming it must be something to do with hormone levels. I get extremely tired, anxiety is for sure worse at time during my cycle, hot flushes with the heart palpitations, nausea and the bones in my wrist ache (odd I know). Iāve also had the same bloods but all normal. Iām not sure what the next step is, Iām currently with the hospital and awaiting next steps. Maybe talking to the GP again and reiterating your symptoms and for a scan to have a preliminary look whilst you wait for the specialist. Itās more info they can use in your case. Sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell. Have you had your Vitamin B12 levels checked? The other thing I would look into is Gut Dybiosis (or Candida overgrowth). I used have a huge amount of symptoms, but went on a special diet and treated the issues in my gut and a lot of symptoms dissipated. I also used very good probiotics. Your doctor is highly unlikely to help you with these things, as the NHS don't really recognise such issues, but many other countries do. I found changing my diet pretty straightforward as I just wanted to feel better. What was great is that I never felt hungry, because there were so many good things I could eat. It just took a bit more thinking as I had to try and avoid processed foods. Other plus side was my skin looked the best it ever had. I'm just going back on the diet now as I can feel some symptoms coming back. I know this might not be what is going on for you, but thought I'd mention these things, just in case they can help. x
I basically followed what they call a Candida Diet. Some are very over the top, which can give you more problems in the end, but I cut out a lot of added sugar and foods with hidden ingredients in them. So no sugary cereal and highly processed foods. I still often soak Organic porridge oats and organic buckwheat overnight in filtered water and then rinse and cook in the morning, adding some cinnamon and fruit. (Buckwheat is useful to use with oats as it reduces the amount of phytic acid you intake with the oats). I use things like lots of salads and switched to organic sourdough rye bread (I also use oat bread these days). Then I'd maybe have poached egg some days or a tin of tuna or some lentils cooked with turmeric. Making falafel is delicious and fun. Love organic feta cheese and organic houmous. Then for dinner I love a plate of veggies with some cooked Wild Alaskan Salmon or some organic or free range chicken. I often make soups from scratch. Sometimes these days I'll have some Shepherd's Pie, using organic herbs and an organic and/or yeast free stock cube, instead of using a packet mix. I wouldn't use a normal tin of baked beans as they have sugar in them. Better to find beans from the health shop that don't have the same amount of sugar in them. Qrganic Quinoa was a great find as it's very nutritious and good for you. I also switched from drinking a lot of tea, to herbal teas. I don't know if this all sounds too much, but when I first started this diet I was seriously ill and was desperate enough to try it. Funny thing, is that after a few weeks I got really used to it and actually enjoyed the taste of foods much more as my palate had been cleansed. There are books out there that you buy second hand about Candida. Here's a very basic questionnaire that you could check, but there are others you can find. thecandidadiet.com/candida-... other thing I used was anti fungal treatments and good quality probiotics. I recommend Optibac Extra Strength, but there are other good ones on the market. Cheaper ones tend to have hidden fillers and won't be as good quality. I often use Bodykind.com to get my probiotics.
If it all feels too much, then try a few things at a time, making a few adjustments each week. Organic is great if you can as your not loading your system with all the pesticides they spray on other foods. And at the very least opt for organic or free range chicken as they load other chickens with anti biotics which is bad for your health.
These are just a few things I've learned over the years and I hope some of it helps. A healthy immune system starts in the gut, so it's worth looking after. You might find it very beneficial to see a Nutritionist privately to talk through your particular symptoms and get further advice. Like I said, the NHS, although amazing at emergencies, don't look into anything like this, but there are plenty of people who do. One last thing.... when people start these types of diets that cleanse, they can make you feel quite lousy at first, due to what is called a "die off" effect, but it soon wears off and means that going at it gently to start with would be wise.
