How long is it since your lap? I have never had one but my experience of having had other types of surgery is that immediately afterwards I have just been flattened, That is partly the after effect of having an anaesthetic I think, and even for a few months afterwards, depending on the surgery, I have still had fatigue.
I think of it as the body having to use its energy to heal and not having much left for anything else. If you have had excision as well that will be quite a lot of healing to be done.
That’ s not much help I know. I have never had much help from a GP for fatigue, apart from them checking my bloods for diabetes etc. If the bloods are OK they don’t seem to be able to offer anything else much.
Hi Blue, sorry to hear you're feeling crap. I had a lap last October and was told to expect to feel tired for a while. Apparently when they mess with Endo they mess with your hormones and hormones do stupid things to all bodily systems. I echo the message above, how long since your lap?
For my fatigue I have had no help whatsoever from my doctors, they keep doing blood tests which come back to normal because they're not testing anything to do with hormones, it's bloody frustrating! My fatigue is also a lot from Zoladex, so might be different, but I'm with you- GPs know nothing about endo and I've even been told as such by one. Keep fighting!
I feel the same... I feel empty, my energy vanished somewhere. my lap was on 24.08.2021. It is very hard to start doing usual things... i just want to cry today.. and sometimes want to feel as person who is ill.. and do not pretend that everything is OK.. because it is not.
But usualy when i feel like this - i use :a natural preparate with griffonia seed extract - for the nervous system and brain function that stimulates the production of serotonin (happiness hormone). - it helps to maintain my sanity, and helps me to overcome anxiety, insomnia, depressive moods. i use it - only when i feel bad, not every day.
