What pain relief do you use for endometriosis!

I have stage 4 endometriosis. I’m sure you all know how much it sucks, I’ve been in pain now for 6 weeks straight and some days I cannot even bare weight. I’m really sick of the way opioids make me feel.

Does anyone have any other suggestions that works

TIAxx

Hi Shuri93, I’ve been through such terrible condition before i wanted to receive any medication treatment, but no choice i have to. My doctor prescribed me Visanne 2mg, i’ve taken the pills for a year already….i have no regular menses since then…just some bleeding sometimes, but the pain is well controlled. I feel such a relief all this while…Probably you can check with your doctor about this medicine. Good luck & all the best! 🤞🙏

Hi! I am wondering if the pain went away 100%? Or 90? Did you have pain all the time before?

Hi Keliane, before taking the pills(Visanne) i had terrible pain during n before menstrual period…other days had some lower abdomen uncomfortability….after taking Visanne, my period has been 99% stopped…no period no pain for me. After a year of medication treatment, my condition is well controlled and doc advised me to try to get Mirena coil fitted, so tht ease off taking medicine everyday….😁✌️ Wish me luck … i’m waiting for my Minera to be fitted at the clinic now! 🤞🤞🤞 wish u all the best too! 💕💞

Hi Shuri 💖

I was diagnosed with stage 4 Endo in March this year following a laparoscopy. It d the worst pain imaginable so I totally feel you on this one 😣 I started taking cerazette progesterone pill twice a day since July last year and have not bled or been in such excruciating pain since. As we know the Endo feeds off a bleed hence why our monthly’s were always leaving us crippled 💔 I take naproxen for my lower back and recently tramadol once in a while but I really hate medication so natural remedies like black seed oil everyday in my tea and food helps also exercise believe it or not….less gluten and a better diet has worked for me too. I walk nothing strenuous just walk for an hour or two a day it does wonders 🙏🏽 Also for your mind 💆🏻‍♀️

Hope you find some comfort real soon xx much love Endo sis x

Hi Shuri93,

Sorry to hear your suffering so much at the moment. Have you got or asked for a referral to a pain management team? If not it might be worth while asking your GP for one, as from my experience they can provide more specialist pain medication than the GPs. Things that I’ve found work for me are pregabalin (for sharp stabbing pain) and Diclofenic for cramping pains. Prior to taking the Pregabalin I was managing my pain with opioids and since being on the Pregabalin I haven’t needed them as much. But like any drug the Pregabalin has side effects too. I’ve also found physiotherapy, heat therapy and be you patches to be really helpful. The be you patches are an alternative to hot water bottles and I know there quite popular with a lot of people with endo. I really hope you get some relief soon.

Ps I was diagnosed in March 2019 but wasn’t given a stage and I’m currently awaiting another surgery with an endometriosis specialist.
