Mini or Combined pill for endometriosis

Hi I'm looking for some advice...I'm currently having Decapeptyl injections for endometriosis and will be finished them soon. I will then be going back on the pill but I am not sure if I should go on the mini pill or combined. I have previously been on the combined pill but I was just wondering if anyone has been on the mini pill and what they're experience has been with it.

if anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it!

Hi Tess098, I've been on both pills over the years (now on decapeptyl untill hysterectomy!) With the mini pill I had a period every 2 weeks with spotting inbetween! so it didnt work with me, but I know for some it's great, all u can do is give it a try and see, if u dont get on with it then u can always stop and try something else, hope this has helped a bit, good luck xx

Hey, I have tried the combined pill (Marvelon) (I did 9 weeks straight then 1 week off) and for me personally, it caused heavy bleeding, worse pelvic pain, constipation and a horrible breakthrough bleed. I've also tried Microgynon in the past which caused similar symptoms.

I'm starting on the mini pill (Cerazette) tomorrow so hopefully, it is better for me. Finding the right pill can take some trial and error, unfortunately, but at least if one type doesn't agree with you, you can always stop taking it and try another option!

Hi Hol2609 thanks a mill for getting back to me I really appreciate it. Ah that's terrible, yeah you're right I might try the mini pill and see how I get on with it and change if it doesn't work out. Best of luck I hope the mini pill works out for you! xx
