I've had confirmed endometriosis (via laparoscopy) for the last 3 years now but I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS as well (because endo just clearly wasn't stressful enough). Symptoms are increasing in severity as well as new symptoms appearing. I recently went to a private consultant who prescribed me the Yasmin pill for 5 months and said we'd review it then. He disregarded my referral letter which had all my recent test results on it, wasn't bothered in listening to my new and worsening symptoms and just seemed to brush me off with the pill and saying we'll review in January. I'm now considering having a second opinion, I just feel incredibly deflated and let down. Has anyone else experienced this? And are there any other ladies who have both endo and pcos who are finding the Yasmin pill beneficial?

Endo/Pcos and the Yasmin Pill
Hey I'm new here today.. I've been brushed off with neproxin regardless of the fact its endo.. You know your body and you have to fight and not let defeat win!!
Hey, I have both conditions as well. I’ve known about the PCOS for years but endo is new for me. I’ve been on Yasmin for years and it really has helped with the pain and making my periods shorter. It stopped working with the endo pain recently so I had a lap which helped and it feels better again. My doctor says the mirena coil or progesterone only pill is better for endo pain but I am nervous about changing.
I think there’s no harm in getting a second opinion, especially if you don’t feel listened to! But I’d also say give Yasmin a go as it did help me.
Hope it gets better x
Hey - sorry you're having such a frustrating time. I also have both - and have had the mirena coil for a year and a half. It has defintly massively helped. It was quite painful at the start until the cramps settled down, but for me it has been worth it. I think it would be a really good thing to get a seccond opionion x
