I had my dreaded mirena coil removed yesterday, bit of a procedure as the strings were inside uterus etc but pleased it is out.
I’ve been advised I will always need to take something for stage 4 endo and adeno as I’m only allowed one more surgery which is hysterectomy and likely colostomy bag.
For now, I’ve been provided with degesterol 75mg pills to take each day.
However, my friend and others I’ve read about have had very positive experiences with Visanne/ diegnogest.
Please could anyone advise if they’ve tried this and been able to get on the nhs?
When I asked yesterday I was told I could get it privately, which I’m willing to do but I need to investigate if getting it on nhs is a possibility first?
Best wishes,
Xxx

Hi Lily1986, I’ve been On visanne for around 6 months now. It changed my Life. I don’t feel anything at all. The endo size stopped where it was 6 months ago and it actually got a bit smaller. The dr told me that endo never disappear but it won’t cause any pain at least or get bigger while taking visanne. I strongly advice taking it. Hope you feel better 🙏🏻
Hi, I was put on Visaane 4 days now and have been looking for information on how effective and side effects of this drug. I have an endometrioma about 4 plus cm and i do get some pain mostly feels like my kidney of my left side. I'm reluctant to have surgery done which is the next course of action if the visanne doesn't stop the growth. I'm opposed to weight gain and depression as that has already been a struggle for me. I'd really appreciate any feed back on Vissane 2mg. thanks
