Keep spotting while taking pill without stopweek

Hi everyone! So i got diagnosed not long ago with adenomyosis and deep infiltrating endometriosis. They adviced me to keep taking the pill without stopweek. But i keep getting light bleeds, they come with getting extra sore, almost feels like a normal period.

I didnt forget to take any pills, but i did take one 2 hours later than i would normally take it. Could that be enough to start an 'almost period'?

Or is it just a flare up? I never used to spot during a flareup but maybe thats a new symptom?

Hoping some of you might know what im talking about and what im doing wrong. Its the 3rd time its happened and ive only been taking the pill continuesly for 2 months.

Thanks for reading and im open to any tips!

Hi, I’ve also been told to take the pill continuously and have been doing so for four months. I’ve had spotting too, at first around the time I would be having the break and then after a while where everything seemed fine just at random times. From tracking my symptoms I worked out that it felt most like a normal period at those times. I’m not sure what the explanation or advice is but I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. I’ve also wondered if it was because i took the pill late one time but it happens when I’m taking them like clockwork too.

Hello Rubarb1.

I’m sorry to hear you’re suffering with this problem. I had the same problem, though it started 5 months after first starting the pill.

I would advise you talk to your consultant or your GP. After changing my prescription twice the problem persisted and my GP advised the Mirena coil. I asked for a referral back to the gynae department and have not had the Mirena so I’m unable to advise around it’s effectiveness.

Stay strong xx

Hi, take 2 pills per day that means 1 pill in morning another one is night for 3 days. Then you take 1 pill per day. Let me know your tablet's combination.

I'm now using combination pill. Last month I took 2 pill per day for breakthrough bleeding. Ethinyl Estradiol (0.02mg)+ Desogestrel (0.15mg)

Just the first day of doing this helped a bit already! Thanks so much, I have a course this week and could not stand the idea of being in such pain all the time 😅
