Hi everyone!

So i have been on this challenging journey the last year to find the reasons for my chronic pelvic pain. I went to a&e 3 times, was on waitinglists for ages, had 2 ultra sound scans and a abdominal and pelvic MRI which all came back clear. I am in ireland and i still had not seen a specialist and now my GP did not want to send any referral. So I resorted to getting a consultation abroad. I went to "endometriosis in balans" in the netherlands since i grew up there. A ultra sound there gave me a diagnoses for adenomyosis. Then they looked at my mri scans and also found deep infiltrating endometriosis which they didnt notice on the ultra sound.

So from 3 different doctors telling me i had nothing wrong with me, i now have been diagnosed with both adenomyosis and endometriosis!

Please get your scans double/triple checked by a specialist!!

I am finally able to receive the treatment i need and its such a relief.
