About 3 weeks ago I was constantly in & out of hospital lots of different tests scans etc, they have found a paraumbilical hernia I am on the list for surgery but obviously with covid the wait is longer, has anyone else had a hernia before alongside endo any advice/tips to help until my surgery please.
I’m in absolute agony everyday really exhausted with little to no energy, I’m getting frustrated as I can’t do things as quick and easy at the minute.
Any little tips/hints would be greatly appreciated

I'm sorry to hear your story. I first had an endometriosis related paraumbilical hernia in 1989 which was repaired but continued to be troublesome with pain episodes regularly. The hernia came back in 2002 and I had emergency surgery at that point.
I now have a further hernia in a similar place I've had since 2016. My endometriosis specialist doesn't want to touch it as I've had lots of excision surgery for my endometriosis. He will only now operate in an emergency as he thinks five abdominal operations is quite enough.
I'm sorry I can't be much help. My main frustration was I didn't actually get diagnosed with endometriosis until 2004 after having it since age 13.
My best advice would be to take care not to strain yourself and sit down whenever necessary.
And don't let anyone, however high and mighty they are, tell you the hernia is nothing to do with endometriosis. I absolutely know my three hernias have been everything to do with endometriosis. One surgeon back in 1989 mentioned 'strange tissue' which I'm sure was endometriosis.
I got fobbed off with the IBS diagnosis for many years.
If you think I can be of any help, please get back to me. xx
Thank you so much for replying to me it really means a lot, the emergency surgeon I saw was brilliant and he said my hernia is definitely to do with my endo let’s just hope the surgeon on the day realises this as well!
Honestly at my wits end in pain everyday with endo but can mostly control that this is just really difficult to deal with constant pain and now even when I’m eating sets the pain off straight away I just hope I have the hernia surgery soon but I bet it will be a wait xx
