Hi All, im going out of my mind. Has anyone had any successful births with Adenomyosis? Did you spot in early pregnancy? I am nearly 5 weeks and have just seen mild pinky / reddish spotting in my discharge (sorry tmi). I have had 2 miscarriages before so my anxiety is through the roof. Any advice would be much appreciated. Please help.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi.I spotted with both mine up to 17 weeks. I didn't get diagnosed with adenomyosis until after both pregnancies so not sure at what point it developed. I got checked out when it first happened to confirm all ok. Then learned to live with it (and the anxiety!). Although had more scans due than usual due to diabetes. It is more normal than people think to spot during pregnancy but worth getting a check up? Hope everything works out ok for you. Xxx

Thank you. Can you tell me what colour was your spotting?

Similar to crybaby91 it was a long time ago! I think I got the full range - red, pink, brown. Sometimes almost period like, sometimes not so much. I was told it may be due to an eroded cervix. I always found it weird how never really mentioned in pregnancy books yet all the health staff were quite blase about it and unconcerned. However, they were always fine when I got nervous and asked to be scanned. X

I agree with CelestialFluff, it's really common to have some spotting during pregnancy, especially in those first 12 weeks. But, saying that, if you're nervous then there is nothing wrong with giving the GP a call or midwife if you have one. Make a note of the spotting too for when you do see your midwife so she can be aware. Try not to stress too much, that won't be good for bump 😘 xxx

Gosh now you're asking me to remember haha it's 12 years ago with my first but from my recollection it was a watery red/pink colour, but I also had some full bleeding like a period and had to be scanned early. All turned out fine though with both pregnancies! Xxx

It's okay sweetie it was a very long time ago now, I was only 16 so it's 14 years since, doesn't hurt me anymore to discuss it. Obviously wasn't meant to be! Xxx

Thank you both. Mine is bright red / pinky watery so far. I also have mild cramps (not unbearable) as well as lower back pain. I want to try and ride it out until my scan on 15th if i can.

You can also get mild cramping when you're pregnant, your uterus stretches to make room for the baby so it could be that if it's mild. If at any point it's not, or you're just worried and want to be seen, get yourself up to the hospital. You should get an early scan because of your previous miscarriages anyway, I had mine at around 8 weeks because I had bleeding. Nothing wrong with poking them and telling them you're scared and want reassurance xxxx

hi sweetie how's u doing today 🙂 congratulations on your pregnancy 😊I was diagnosed with endometriosis & cysts in 2005, I haven't got adenomyosis (I don't think 😂) but I was told by my gynecologist that I would neva be able to have children 😕, I was absolutely devastated and stopped taking the pill, I fell pregnant within a month 🙂 I had bleeding at 8wks and was worried I was going to lose him. I was checked out at hospital and ordered to take it easy? I have had one previous miscarriage between my eldest n my middle child 😔so I can understand ur anxiety.

I took it easy for the rest of the pregnancy and he was born 6wks prem. (I will point out that it was due to an abusive partner that I'm no longer with).I have 3 beautiful and healthy children.

I would say listen to your gut feeling and any concerns u have go straight to a+e (even if it's just for you own peace of mind).

if u eva want to chat plz let me know xxxxx
