Hey guys, I’ve been having some really intense flare ups recently and I’ve been taking my usual meds, hot water bottle etc but I’m just wondering if people could share what they use when they’re having a flare up? I have a heat pack but it’s not the best so any recommendations of those would be great, I’ve looked into CBD oil but never actually tried it (overwhelmed with options). Any suggestions at all would be more than helpful right now!

I also use a TENS machine it's super helpful for distracting away from the pain, but takes some messing around to figure out the right setting and intensity, plus finding the best placements for the electrodes. Have you tried a heated pad? It's like a heated blanket but smaller, I love mine I lay on it for the lower back pain, then use a hot water bottle at the front or my TENS 😀 nothing takes the pain away totally, but it makes it slightly more manageable.
CBD I can't speak highly of enough, I use everything to do with it, bath salts, lotions, face oil (it is amazing for dry skin) and also the regular CBD oil. You'll want a decent strength, bare in mind that it has no THC so there are no effects. It can interact with certain medications, so please check with your GP before you start taking any of the oil. The salts, butters and lotions though can be used without much worry. Bit like using essential oils! But cannabis is a fantastic plant and I highly recommend taking advantage of its anti-inflammatory properties just a shame the really good pain killing part (THC) is still illegal 🙄 though I know a few people who use it for pain despite it being illegal and find it incredibly useful... I can neither confirm nor deny whether I am one of those 🤫😉
Hello I use a tens machine, I got the £20 from Lloyds the chemist and it comes with 4 pads and it’s amazing. I use it all over my body as I also suffer with fibromyalgia. Medication wise I use codeine and tramadol, if the pain is just starting I try naproxen first. See your doctor for more options as I never found paracetamol or ibuprofen to be enough for me x
