Dienogest/visanne in Oxfordshire?

Does anybody have any experience or know whether Dienogest/Visanne/Zalkya is prescribed in Oxfordshire? I am trying to get my consultant to prescribe it to me, but he seemed reluctant (although didn't say it was impossible).

Thanks for any information! This is a hope that I am clinging to currently...

Hi there. I live in Oxfordshire and saw a consultant in London. He recommended dienogest as I had tried the Mirena Coil for 3 years and it didn’t agree with me. I just contacted my GP after the appointment and asked them to prescribe me Dienogest on his recommendation (which he had confirmed via letter). They did no problem but I have to pay for it as it’s not a contraceptive.

Hi, I didn't know it was now available in the UK! When I was taking it in 2018, I had to buy it from Belgium.

Yes I can now get it from my gp!
