Contraceptive pill endo treatment

Hello all- first time poster here. I was only diagnosed with endo- a small area in the posterior cul-de-sac is affected- in February this year after 6 or 7 years of going to the doctors with period issues. Now, I am on my third attempt with the pill now (a different pill each time of course) and each time within the first week I develop horrid nausea and my mood drops through the floor. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? Thanks in advance for any responses!

Hi - I've had low mood and acne with the progesterone only pill.

However, I tried the Mirena coil - although it is also progesterone only, it has a much smaller dose and lower side-effects because it is delivered locally in the uterus (and doesn't have to go through the digestive system).

With the Mirena coil, I haven't had the low mood and acne. I is also comfortable (I've not had children, but used to have the copper coil, but that one was always uncomfortable).

However, I have severe endo, so am now trying chemical menopause because the Mirena wasn't enough for my case.

Hey I am on the mini pill while I wait for my mirena coil. Have found some benefit in having a lighter period and I think leas pain but early to tell. The pill does tend to wreak havoc (spotting, mood swings, libido) when you first start taking it but it usually settles down. Hope you find some benefit from it in time
