Does anyone recommend a certain diet for endo I’ve tried cutting out stuff like cows milk and bread pasta etc before but eat them again sometimes now , it seems like I can’t eat anything though without bloating and being in absolute agony now my left ribs feel as though there broken its that painful, however I did have chippy tonight so probs not the best idea but any thoughts would be great , I’ve had endo stage 4 removed about 2 years ago but it’s back and I’ve been asked to go for a ultra sound to then get bk into the gynaecologist again probs to go through it all over again soon, as it’s playing up real bad this time, I nearly passed out last week from the pain of after sex with my partner and was so nauseated and went really pale.

For me, I have started gradually going towards a plant based diet that is gluten free. I have used a Life Coach who is a nutritionalist to support me. I see her once a week and someone sponsored me to do this.
Initially I tried a paleo diet for two weeks, in about 2017. Then added bread back into my eating and was so ill decided to go completely gluten free and it helped me feel good inside and out. Kept my belly bloat right down but it’s big anyway. Often get asked if I am pregnant and this is devastating as I have never been pregnant at 45 and awaiting a hysterectomy 🙄🤯
Now this of change of going plant based is about taking out the hormones in meat and dairy products to starve the Endo and to reduce inflammation in my body. So I have more energy. My salty, sugary, carb heavy cravings have faded but I imagine the chocolate one will stay lol 😆 but will be dark or vegan chocolate.
It’s bloody hard but anything to feel better inside. Had my Mirena coil out and bleeding heavily for me. I feel blurgh 😩 and don’t have a food blurgh feeling aswell. So that’s a win! Just taken 50mg diclofenac suppository (they’re magic as don’t affect my digestion).
Hope this helps and remember everybody is different. I couldn’t do this alone as tried many times before.
Sending you all the good vibes as you find out what works for you!
The only thing that has ever helped food wise is the low fodmap diet. Basically you do it strictly for about 2 or 3 weeks then reintroduce certain groups of foods one at a time to see what upsets you. You find out your tolerance levels, e.g. I can now tolerate very small amounts of certain things but I'm definitely lactose intolerant so I have lactose free cow's milk (for the calcium) which is quite easy to get in supermarkets. My consultant endometriosis specialist says the low fodmap diet has helped a number of his patients. It doesn't involve giving up all the things you like either, mostly there are decent alternatives and most alcoholic drinks are ok in moderation.
Hi, I found making changes to my diet made a big difference to my endo symptoms. Focusing on anti-inflammatory foods and taking out inflammatory foods like gluten, sugar and red meat.
Everyone is different though, so it can be worth trying a food and symptom diary for a bit to see if there are any obvious triggers for you.
If you are getting a lot of bloating then soups, smoothies and stews where the food is already broken down as so easier to digest can help.
