I’ve heard that certain food groups can make endo symptoms worse and similarly some foods can help ease symptoms. I’ve personally never noticed a difference in symptoms depending on what I eat but has anyone else?
It would be interesting to hear if anyone’s noticed if a different diet can help symptoms
Thanks!

Can’t say this is scientific but sugar always triggers my Endo pains. I try and stay away from all sugary foods including fruit a week leading up to coming on my period and that tends to help. Only issue is there’s nothing more that I want a few days before coming on than all things sweet 😩😩😩.
All the best hun. Hopefully someone can recommend some foods to calm down flare ups.
I’m so glad you’ve managed to identify something to help your symptoms but its such a shame that its sugar!! Why couldn’t it be broccoli?!😂 thank you for your reply i really appreciate it x
I’d highly recommend talking to the nutritionists at wildnutrition.com/. For a number of years I had my endo symptoms completely under control just based on diet tweaks and their supplements. It’s quite expensive, but was completely worth it. My endo continued to get worse and a lap was the only option eventually, but for 2-3 years their programme meant I was pain free.
Sugar makes me so so sick. Even fruit that is high in sugar, so I stick to berries and nuts as my treats. My recent discovery or should I say, an experiment on myself has been crazy in a good way. In January I started following an iodine protocol (Dr. Brownstein has a book and there are many other practitioners now too). I have been pain free since February and my cycle is 28 days. I used to use paracetamol, codein, CBD for monthly pain management and my cycle was always 28-35 days.
Hi, I think it varies quite a bit with each individual so worth testing out a few things and seeing what works for you. I find that gluten, sugar, caffeine and alcohol seem to make things worse for me. Generally focusing more on anti-inflammatory foods like fruit and vegetables and omega 3 rich foods (oily fish, walnuts and chia seeds) can help. I will send you a link that might help.
Dairy definitely made my symptoms worse. I went dairy free for a while as it was suggested to help tummy troubles. It didn’t help them at all but my periods were so much less painful. I find it really hard to stay away from dairy now though as I live in a shared house where we cook together. It also doesn’t do anything to help how heavy they are but less pain was good.
