Has anyone been referred to the University College London for their endo by a pain specialist? If so, how long did you have to wait for an appointment and did you find it useful or a waste of time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
University College London : Has anyone been... - Endometriosis UK
University College London
HiI asked for a referral and I had mri then saw a consultant who accepted my case (stage 4) all within 3 months while covid had started. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. There have beens up/downs but covid is main factor and they had to ensure patient safety. Im due for my op now & though 1 year later I have been reluctant due to covid.
I hope you have a positive experience. PM if you have any queries.
Good luck, Bobbi x
I went there for a consultation 5 years ago - they responded very quickly to my GP’s referral and I got an appointment within a couple of months (although who knows with covid at the moment?).
As they knew I came from outside London, they fit all my tests on the same day - it was a long day but it meant I didn’t have to return another time. The consultant was fantastic, he asked me what *I* wanted and actually listened. We put together my treatment plan and he promptly wrote to my GP with his recommendations.
That's really good to know, I am also outside of London. The pain specialist referred me mid Dec 2020 so hopefully I will hear something soon. Thank you for the information, can you remember which Consultant you saw?
