Really good London consultant needed.

Hi, I am in north London and have had appointments with a number of senior consultants over the last 8 years, but have yet to find one who is sympathetic to my needs. I have stage 4-5 Endo with bowel involvement and recently my right ovary is giving me extraordinary pain. I'm 47. I have so far resisted hormonal meds and have only had one laparoscopy - but really wanted to message some London gals who may have found someone really good. It's all about empathy with endo and I find many of these consultants just too cool and unrelateable, especially the male ones. We can swap emails if you want to message me direct to discuss names! Have you joined Nancy’s Nook Facebook page? They have an international list of tried and tested consultants. I’m sure there are a couple in London.

It’s not a discussion or support group, but there’s loads of information and feedback from patients. There’s also the website nancysnookendo.com that is well worth a look.

The list on that US page is very unreliable for UK women. It just has a few surgeons picked out based on very limited feedback. They do not allow any discussion of the majority of our UK excision surgeons when they haven't heard of them. There is very bad feedback on some UK based groups for some on their list. There are much more reliable groups for UK women.

Stage 4 must only be treated in a tertiary endo centre and those accredited by the BSGE can be found here.

thanks, yes I will look at this. Have looked before but years ago. Yes the woman who runs the facebook page pointed me to list of US surgeons.....x
