It’s finally my appointment with Gynae today, it’s only a telephone consult as they aren’t seeing anyone at the moment but I’m so nervous I won’t get taken seriously given past experiences.
I’ve researched the consultant and he is an endo specialist and has fundraised for Endo UK.
Any tips to get the best out of the call? I’m already so deflated I don’t know how I’ll cope another one suggesting a pain clinic and telling me someone women just have these problems .
Thank you x

I would write down a list of all the questions you might have about symptoms, treatments, and outcomes etc. I would also write down all of the symptoms you've been having as sometimes we forgot to mention everything when having the actual appointment!
Lastly - breathe! You've finally reached appointment day. I wish you all the best x
I would explain your symptoms and how it makes you feel, your mental health and quality of life if that is suffering as a result of the pain which more than likely it will. I would also gather information about what you would like to achieve and which route to go down.
If you don't want to take hormonal birth control, or any medication for that matter make sure they understand this. List the reasons why you don't want to and ask them to respect your wishes by not having that as an option given.
