I don't have an endo diagnosis but it is suspected and I have had the coil fitted today to help with the pain.
Is it normal to have brown discharge/bleeding almost immediately after insertion (Less than 2 hours later)?
Also, the fitting was extremely painful, especially the speculum being inserted/opened. I know they say if you can handle sex then speculum should be fine, but I actually cried with pain! Could this be a sign of Endo, as I know painful sex is?

Hey, I have suspected Endo too and had the mirena fitted for the same reason as you a few months back. It did hurt going in but sounds like yours was more extreme bless you. How are you feeling afterwards? I had extreme cramping for days after and the brown spotting and discharge for months until it finally expelled itself so I’ve had it removed back to square one 🥺 x
Ohh no, that sounds awful! The pain and cramping is a lot better today but I've felt quite lightheaded, nauseous and I've had a slight temperature/hot flushes.I was expecting some spotting/bleeding, but didn't think it would be so soon afterwards. I thought it would be the next day or later that evening. I wasn't sure if it being immediate could be a sign of damage or perforation. Literally as soon as it was fitted I had brown discharge and this morning had black/brown discharge/clots . But the pain is much better so hoping it's okay.
HiI have been diagnosed with endo and I pretty much have all those things happen or happened to me. I had a mirena fitted when I had surgery and when I woke up I had a pad on from bleeding from it being put in. This was almost a month ago and I’ve been getting brown discharge since then too.
I had to have a speculum examination prior and I was also in extreme pain the consultant my actually apologised as I was visibly crying but trying hard to hide my tears lol
Aww no, that sounds really similar to me! I cried with the pain and tried to hide it but the nurse that was there saw and held my hand 😂 I haven't been formally diagnosed, but it sounds like the pain could be another possible symptom. I just didn't expect the bleeding to be so immediate after and was worried it had damaged something, but the pain seems a lot better today
