I was referred to gynaecology at the beginning of 2020 obviously because of the pandemic everything was delayed I eventually got offered an appointment in February 2021. The appointment was cancelled at the last minute because of the pandemic (consultant was isolating)
I have since tried to chase up when my next / first appointment will be. I have been told not to contact the hospital again and to wait as I’ve been put back on the waiting list.......
I’ve tried to get my Doctors to chase it up and been told the same that I just have to wait and be patient!
I’m in horrific pain I have a cyst although it’s only a very small one it is burning and I am so irritable keep snapping at my poor children! I’m taking codine inrophen and metaferic acid sorry rant over
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend

Same timescale as you - pretty much to the month & waiting for diagnostic lap. I'm phoning gynae this week to get a rough idea of timescale but probably won't get anywhere.
Sorry you're in so much pain - I get a few days pain free each month. Last night it felt like I was sleeping (or rather, not sleeping) with a blade inside my b*m 😬
I too get snappy with the kiddies when I'm in pain... So hard to stay in check isn't it.
Sorry you’re going through all this. Why did they tell you not to ring the hospital? Your GP can chase it, they can send a message to make it more urgent. There will also be cancellations, it depends on how the hospital works, but useful to check on. I bought forward an end of May gastro appointment to a week Thursday the other day. This was after complaints said they couldn’t do anything.
That sounds terrible. Maybe go to the Emergency so your Doctor can see how much pain you are in and maybe you can get a specialist that way. I wish you luck
Ooft, same here on timescales, which isn't to say that this isn't awful, more to say that you are not alone and I understand the extreme frustration!! Was diagnosed via MRI in January 2020, referred to endo clinic in late Feb (took 3 weeks for them to just SEND a letter - it was written in early Feb, just not sent!!!) and have yet to hear anything about my urgent referral for surgery. I'm so sorry you're going through a similar situation 😞
I wish I had anything to say that might help a bit more, but I only have comradery at the moment. I sincerely hope things improve for you - the waiting is absolutely awful!
I feel your pain. I was diagnosed back in 2019. I was listed for a total hysterectomy and bowel resection back in November 2019 and I am still waiting! So fed up with the pain and waiting. I've chased up the hospital several times with not much joy. Hang in there, the pandemic is easing now so hopefully you will be seen soon 🤞
