Help from GPs

Hi. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 16. Over the years I have tried every contraceptive pill type available and now have the implanon implant. Everything works for maybe a year and then stops working for me. I have currently been put onto a waiting list to get my implant removed because I am getting periods every 2 to 3 weeks as you can all imagine I am in a lot of pain a lot of the time and yet I’m still on a waiting list for removal that people have been on since December!

My doctors surgery just keeps telling me to make an appointment to see them yet I have been told the soonest appointment available is the 19th of April.

I am incredibly frustrated and feel like the help and support is not available. I don’t know whether anyone else has experienced these difficulties or has any advice for getting quicker help?

Hi

You aren’t the only person having issues in getting things done, not by a long way 🤷‍♀️🙄

It’s ridiculous, I’m having issues with the local hospital, not so much GP as they do seem to be trying. They have screwed up any times, but sort of ok at the moment. I do much prefer the econsult to calling them. My surgery insists that people use them these days so they can triage. They still allow for emergencies

If you have the booking for the 19 they will likely have cancellations as well.
