Hi ladies. Following on from my last post. I have managed to get a phone call appointment with my GP for a weeks time. A few of you recommending being referred to a BSGE Centre rather than a general gynae. I asked the receptionist if that was possible and they said that it’s a different healthcare district so they can’t refer me?? Meanwhile when I rang the BSGE centre they said my GP will need to refer me? I’m so confused!!
I wrote an email to m6 GP practice and attached a link to the BSGE Centre closest to me and the reason why I should be referred. Any tips or advice on what to say to my GP in the phone call appointment? And also any experiences with BSGE and how they helped would be appreciated.

Hi Louise,Although receptionists try to be helpful, they often accidentally give information that... Well... Isn't right.
The GP should refer you to a BSGE centre for endometriosis.
In the NICE guidelines (available via the Endometrosis UK website), there are guidelines about referrals and management for endo. You might find it helpful to read over the NICE guidelines because that will support your request.
