Tracking Symptoms

Hi all, this is my first post. I'm so glad to have found this community. I'm 31 and I was diagnosed with endometriosis in November when I had a laparoscopy with excision. There is also suspected endometriosis leading into my bowel which could not be dealt with in surgery on that day.

My mission currently is to try to track symptoms. I am on the pill desogestrel (aka Cerazette) and this is good for me because it stops me ovulating and bleeding, and keeps those related symptoms in check. However, I want to become a detective now because I want to see how my bowel movements and mood are affected by whatever "cycle" I may be having. Mood is a tricky one because I don't know what may be caused by the pill and what by the endo.

If anyone has a recommendation for an app to track a cycle without having to log ovulation or bleeding, I would be very grateful. Otherwise I may have to go old school and use pen and paper to draw myself a calendar (heaven forbid).

I would also love to hear from other amenorrheic (period-less) folks about your experiences to make me feel less alone!

As a side note, if anyone has anything they can tell me about endometriosis as related to "pelvic floor dysfunction" (i.e. the muscles being far too tight), I am all ears! I have just learned that this may be related to endo and that's another thing to ask my consultant about!

Hi Cpt. Jemima,

Some ideas for tracking apps:

- CaraCare app for digestive system

- Clue app for monthly cycles and mood

- Femometer app for monthly cycles and mood

From what you've described, the CaraCare might be the app to try first.

Thank you so much, I will have a look at these! :)

I have used Clue in the past but didn't like that it was constantly telling me that my period was due tomorrow. It seemed like I couldn't track on a cycle because I couldn't tell it when my cycle began/ended.

I'd be interested to hear what works for you in terms of tracking symptoms. For now, I'm using femometer, but only because I bought a lifetime subscription when I was trying to conceive. I'll stick with it a while during the time I'm trying to get my periods to stop ( hoping for endometriosis pain relief)
