After laparoscopy in 2019 removing endo from my bowl and behind my womb, not been the same since. Pain is horrendous, way worse than before the op. Due to covid i haven't been able to have a 12 month follow up.
The surgeon has recommended i have the prostap monthly injection along with the tibolone daily tablets to try ease pain before having more surgery. I've only heard bad things about this with really bad side affects.
has anyone had these and what are your thoughts please?
Cheers

I was put on prostap injections every month but I was on livial as the HRT!
I must admit I didn’t get much pain or bloated in my belly, to be honest I actually felt like a new woman!
However, Then the side effects came! I could not control the hot sweats and the banging head aches it was just awful! I found it so embarrassing sat having dinner in a restaurant and getting a hot flush where I would literally be wet with sweat!
So I decided to stop taking them as they were stopping me sleeping at night and causing me to become insecure and not wanting to leave the house because I didn’t want to have a flush in front of people.
Which was so annoying, because they did take the pain away.
My consultant did tell me I could have got a higher dose of HRT but I was so scared from them I didn’t want to re - try them.
So now I’m waiting for my 3rd case of surgery.
However, we are all different so they may well be good for you, I would try them out and see how you are on them at least that’s one other treatment to rule out.
I found it took the pain away it was the hot sweats I couldn’t handle but I didn’t realise I could have been put on a higher dose of HRT! All the best x
