Hi, I’m fighting for a diagnosis and my gp isn’t listening and nor is the general gynaecologist that I was referred to, saying what I have been experiencing is normal for a young woman. Does anyone have any recommendations for specialists in the uk? I’m based near Bristol but would be willing to travel anywhere to get some answers. Thank you in advance!

There are specialist BSGE accredited endometriosis centres around the country, I have linked their website below, here you can find more information and search for a centre in your area. I have also linked a getting diagnosed information pack from endometriosis UK, detailing how you can pursue getting a diagnosis and/or a referral to a BSGE centre.

As LeahEndoUK has said check the bsge clinics and demand a second opinion. I did this and im in great hands now.You can also contact the clinics yourself and ask them how you can be referred (usually via gp). I also took this route but fortunately gp referral was quicker. PM me if you have any Qs incl re: bsge clinics.
Good luck and dont give up. You know your body! X
