Contraceptive dilemma

Hi. Daughter has just had a six monthly check and cyst on her ovary has grown a cm and another has appeared on the other ovary. She hasn’t been taking progesterone pill which was suggested ( can’t take combined because of migraines)... would this growth not have been so severe if she had taken the pill or is it hit and miss? Thanks

Hi, am much as I can’t answer your exact question but can maybe give you some reassuring info?? I also have a cyst but haven’t had it re-sized yet so can’t answer your exact question atm but I did take the progesterone for just under 3 months and it somehow excelled my endo! How i will never know but within 2 months I grew a thickening of the uterus and passed it out of me in one go! I have stopped taking the tablets and the doctor has agreed with me so I possibly wouldn’t think by not taking them it made it worse but I really have no medical training to be saying this but based on my personal experience I don’t think the tablets would of changed anything for her. I will be interested to see if my cyst has grown much since my last scan and since taking this progesterone. I personally feel I have been so much worse off taking it and wished I never started it.
