So I'm due to have my transvaginal ultrasound next week (checking fertility etc in prep for possible IVF) however my current cycle is a bit long after my endo excision lap (end of Jan). I may be on my period when they do the transvaginal ultrasound, is this a problem? Should I contact the clinic and ask?

Transvaginal ultrasound and period
I've had a transvaginal ultrasound on my period before and I just told the technician before they started. As far as I know, it doesn't affect the imaging but you could always phone them up to check. Hope it all goes well for you.
Hello, I was on my period when I had my ultrasound. Don't worry they are really nice about it and said they can still do it if I was happy for them too.
Hello again. I had a TV ultrasound and got my period in the waiting room. Typical for my luck! They still did it, wasn’t too messy in fact and the nurse was understanding. They’ve seen it all. Don’t postpone, just crack on and take your painkillers etc so you can actually get to the appointment. There are some days I can’t move from bed in pain so I hope you manage. Good luck. Nina
Hi 🙋🏻♀️
I had the Transvaginal Scan whilst I was on my period as I was reluctant to cancel the appointment, after waiting for few weeks. It was absolutely fine they weren’t fussed and carried on with the scan. Pls don’t stress or worry xx 😊
