Hi Everyone,

I was diagnosed with widespread Endometriosis on the 19th January after a Laparoscopic surgery and having the affected areas ‘burned.’

I’m recovering okay, although I’m feeling extremely overwhelmed, lonely and emotional which I’m sure is normal.

I wondered if anyone could offer advice or share their own experience of:

1) Ways to handle getting a diagnosis (any websites, things that helped.)

2) How common is it for the endometriosis to return if it hasn’t been physically removed?

3) Using hormones such as the coil or pill isn’t a sustainable long term solution, did anything else work for anyone (diet, exercise, therapy)?

Thank you all, I really feel at a loss after a whirlwind of a week. X

Hi - by widespread they may mean there was a lot of it but it was minor or it could be more severe. Burning (ablation) is only suitable for the mildest form and there is a good chance of recurrence unfortunately as often only the top layer is destroyed. We're not allowed to put links but will pm you some good resources.
