Help With Endo please

I have come to seek some help. Ever since i was 15, i am now 27, i have had excruitiating periods, extremely heavy where i bleed through on to my clothes, i have passed out from the pain and regularly throw up every month. I also get a high temperature, and become extremely tired and emotional. I went my doctor about this 2 years ago when i couldn't take it any longer, i had a colonoscopy and larcoscopic surgery. My results came back as not showing signs of endometriosis and now i am at a complete loss as to what is going on. I have every symptom of this disease, and all my health problems always relate down to this issue also. Has anyone else had similar problems, or advice on what i can do?

Hey lovely, I’m so sorry that you go through this every month :( all I can say is you know your own body and keep pushing for answers, because being in so much pain that you pass out and throw up is not normal! I’m also 27 and have had awful periods since the age of 12, but I’ve never passed out but have struggled a lot with the pain and many gastro issues. I also had a laparoscopy in august last year to be told that everything looks normal and I was discharged with no further action. After speaking with lots of lovely ladies on here and reading, I’ve found that general gynae can often miss endo. I’ve since had a private consultation which I paid for myself in December with an endometriosis specialist who was great and has now put me on his nhs list so I don’t have to pay for anything else going forward. I saved up the £160 to pay for this and it’s worth every penny to hopefully get some answers eventually. He said endo can be missed easily and all my symptoms point to endo, so he wants me to have prostap injections for 12 weeks and of my symptoms improve then he knows it’s my womb causing the issues, and he then is on about doing the surgery again himself. My DM is always open if you need someone to talk to, it can be difficult I know at times x

Oh my god this has been more than helpful because to be honest I've been trying for so long I was starting to give up and try and live with it, which is not easy! Did you research for endo specialists then? Thats the route I am thinking of taking i just dont know where to start, because all I keep getting is everything is normal and its just bad period pains, but having to throw up and pass out each month like you say, can't be normal!

Ah I’m glad I can help in some way and understand what you’re going through! If you search via your postcode on here it will tell you specialists in your area at a BSGE centre -

bsge.org.uk/centre/

I had been recommended my specialist from there via a friend of a friend, and he happens to do NHS as well. So I called my DR and asked that she could write me a referral letter to the specialist as I wanted to pay for a private appointment - I don’t think you need a letter for private it just helps when you go because they have some background info. From calling up to make an appointment I literally could get in the following week x
