Birth control/lap

Hi!! I’m going to keep this short. I’m waiting on a lap and not on any birth control/treatment as I wanted to make sure if I do have endo, it’s seen this time. Last lap didn’t show anything. However, I’ve been seeing someone and starting to feel like I need to go back on some type of birth control (we had a scare as condom split) but I don’t want this to prevent any endo growing and it ends up being missed again. Any advice is appreciated

I was on birth control back to back for 2 years (plus an additional Endo specific medication) before my lap and my rectum was fused and pulled up and over my rectum with adhesions. It won’t be missed if you’re being seen by an Endo specialist. Regular gyn won’t see the tiny implants and won’t check every where.

Thank you for replying! Yes, it is an endo specialist that I’ll be seeing this time, whereas last time was general gynae. I just don’t want to take any chances of it being missed if it is there, but I also don’t want to accidentally get pregnant (if I can even get pregnant)
