I am new here...and have questions :)

Hello, I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas.

I would like some advice if possible. I have been thinking for more than a year if I could have endometriosis.

I always had pain when I was on my period, not much but I always had to take a painkiller to get through it but I think that is normal.

Now there is almost no pain when I am on my period, but instead there is a lot of pain in the groin, thighs and lower abdomen. and not just during my period, the feeling is that I am always on my period. The pain is like a burning sensation in the thighs, down legs and tingling sensation. And sharp pain in the lower abdomen. I have also a weird feeling over my stomach lika a heavy blanked is on my stomach area. I have gone to all kinds of doctors and all kinds of research been done but have not received any answers. No one seems to know what's going on. One doctor mentioned endometriosis but said that because I did not have a bad menstrual period, it could not be.

Early this year I also got bad pain under the right shoulder blade and between the shoulder blades and during that the pain in my legs got better. I went back to doctors and no one can help me and now my pain in the legs are back on full swing. My stomach and bowel movements are also giving my problems especially during my period, I've got pain and my stool is not normal during period.

I just do not know what to think.

My aunt found out that she had endometriosis when she went to the doctor for another reason. But she was not in much pain during period so I was thinking if you had to have bad period to have endometirosis?

Sorry about my English

Best regards

Hello, I have stage 4 endo and had it on my bowel, rectum and appendix. I did not get diagnosed until I was 32 because I would go to the GP and they would ask, do you have heavy periods? Do you have painful sex? And I would say no, so they'd dismiss it. My pain during periods was bad but I just thought I was unlucky and a bit soft! I didn't realise it wasn't normal to not book plans because I knew I'd be on my period.

However I was able to show how my constipation and awful bloating changed throughout the month, the pattern was the same each month and I eventually got a gynae referral. If you think this is what it is, tell your doctor and clearly say you want a gynae referral. Good luck xx
