Sex after a laparoscopy

Hey

I wasn’t given any advice on when is okay to have sex after a laparoscopy. I am a week post op and still don’t feel ready in fact the thought of it scares me. But I would just like to know like when or how long to leave it.

I also am still struggling with a lot of dried blood in my wounds and no matter how hard I try to clean it it just won’t budge and it’s started going red around my wounds.

Leave it till whenever u feel ready and also get the wounds checked.

I'd be careful with your wounds there not meant to get wet and it's still very early days....maybe get Dr to check on them especially if there weeping or area feels very hot....but redness might just be because you've gone a bit too hard.If you had any bleeding from lap I would wait till this has finished before you try anything but basically you know your body and it will let you know what your limits are and as long as your partner is understanding then you should be able to relax and not worry so much....Just take things slowly when you feel ready
