I am currently waiting on a gynaecology appointment after going to my doctor with chronic pelvic pain and explaining that I used to have extremely painful and irregular periods when I was a teenager. I have been on hormonal contraception for 4 years to treat the pain and irregularity of my period but recently my blood pressure has become elevated. I know some prescribers are reluctant to prescribe the combined pill to people with high blood pressure and I’m scared they’re going to take me off the only thing I’ve found that keeps some of my pain at bay. I’ve been trying to exercise and eat healthier but exercise tends to cause pain flare ups so I feel I have to stick to walking and stretching or deal with moderate pain for the remainder of the day.
Has anyone had any similar experiences that they can share with me?
