Is your bowel adhered to your uterus?

I’m new here and have recently had my endo investigations finalised. Diagnosed as severe as my bowel is attached to my uterus which I’m finding pretty scary! Does anybody else have this?

We are having a lot of issues trying to start a family, lots of losses, so they don’t want to treat it yet as concerns over damaging my fertility with an op. Is it ok to live with my bowel and uterus attached?

It’s a lonely place having this diagnosis and not knowing anybody else who has has it, thank you for any replies x

This is rectovaginal endo which is classed as severe. Whilst some women do achieve natural pregnancy with this stage statistically the chances are low. However, surgery significantly increases chances (ESHRE 3.2 ). It is complex surgery though and must only be carried out in a specialist endo centre. Whether or not to operate is based on pregnancy intentions, quality of life and/or whether any of your organs are at risk and the decision can only be made by you and the advanced surgeons in such a centre. The referral pathways depend on where you are in the UK and can be quite involved - will pm you. x
