Could I have endometriosis, US says A-OK

Hi guys

Ok, at a loss, can anyone help.

I had my son 10 years ago. Spent 17 days after with so called retained product yet no outward signs. Blood test and US confirmed it and had a d&c.

For about 6 years had no period but chronic period pains.

That changed to a kind of light spotting/end of period clotting for 1 to 3 days every 21 to 35 days. Doctors baffled. All seemed ok

Lately pain at period time, down legs and after peeing. Bloated (have hiatal hernia so probable reason for that)

Recently had smear - clear. Had blood test for cancer marker - clear.

Also had hormones checked, all fine. In fact in age range for 33-37 year old. I'm 45! No signs of menopause.

Mother may have had endometriosis but had hysterectomy due to womb cancer so not conclusive.

Fed up. In pain. At a loss. Help please

Could be, ultrasound isn’t great for diagnosing endo, but it does depend on the experience of the person carrying it out.

Don’t let age be a factor as I was diagnosed last December at 51, still having periods. Although I’ve always had bad periods I coped. I think my mum may have had it as well, she had a hysterectomy late thirties, with bad bowel issues as well.

My understanding is that laparoscopy is needed for definite diagnosis for endo, ultrasound will not necessarily show it. Hope you find answers.
