Your symptoms sound Similar to what I have been experiencing for the past 5 years. After running into lose end after lose ends with GP and gynaecologists that I kept getting referred to I’m finally going private my gynaecologist says I have it but we need the lapascopy to confirm. I have my lap booked on the 10th April. (Only a 5 week turn around) I would really urgue you to go to the doctors and ask for a gyne appointment. Or if you can go private maybe it’s quicker and was best for me. But do push it with the doctors. Don’t give up x
Thanks, I have a gynocologist referral but I have had quite a few appointments before and they have always sent me away, have had many ultrasounds (most of the time it showed something: a mayoma, a cyst, fibroids) I will try to push for a laparoscopy this time, don't have money to go private.
Hi, in that case just really push the gyne to take you seriously and explain how much your sumptoms impact your life. Write down all your symptoms, periods ect take it with you to the appointment and push untill you get on the list for a lap. I know it’s a rough ride but it’s worth it. Let me know how you get on. Good luck 😊 x
Hi same symptoms as what I'm having!! All but the weight loss.. typical eh!? Lol I know it's not really a laughing matter. Definitely ask for a referral Sass. Hannah I'm due to have a lap in May. Please keep in touch with the outcome of your lap and how you're doing if you would be so kind x
Thank you. You mean endometriosis specialist or gynocologist will be enough? Yeah, the last 15 months has been horrible and it has been getting worse every month, I dread every period and just thinking of going back on the pill as didn't have periods with the pill.
Some gyno takes endometriosis seriously. But some don’t bother to help at all. So I would find someone who is good with endo. There is a facbook endo educational group called Nancy’s nook. Join in and look around. I found a specialist on their list of doctors and had a surgery with him. If I wouldn’t have found it, I would be still in agony and clueless about endo.
This sounds like the exact symptoms I had (minus the headaches) before I was diagnosed. I have stage 1 endo and had it removed 9 months ago. I would recommend going to your gynae and saying outright that you want a diagnostic laparoscopy because all your symptoms fit. I fought for 10 years and was very meek about it until I seen the gynaecologist who wanted to just give me a cocktail of drugs and I said “no, I don’t want to be taking medication if I don’t know what it is. I have my own ideas...I want a diagnostic laparoscopy” the gynae reluctantly agreed and even said to me after surgery he doubted why he was doing it but It turned out my self diagnosis was correct.
Thank you very much for that, I will try to push for laparoscopy and not leave until they say yes. I do have a pituitary tumour so the headache is probably to do with that really.
