I had my first zoladex injection just under two weeks ago - at the same time as having my laparoscopy for ovarian cyst removal and removal of endometriosis. I’ve healed pretty well and felt quite good but the past two days I’ve had really bad period type pains, cramping that makes me feel nauseous. Could this be a side effect or the Zoladex? Or is it more likely to be just my body healing? I was one of the lucky (?) few who has stage 3/4 endo with little to no pain and am a bit worried that it’s all been antagonised by the surgery - is that a thing?
Thanks in advance

Hey, after having the 1st injection for Zoladex there is surge of estrogen before the ovaries shut down. I felt rubbish for first couple of weeks and then suddenly pains decreased (around week 3 or 4). Hope the same happens for you ASAP. Your body is healing also so hopefully u should notice a difference in a couple more weeks 🤞
Thank you so much for responding. I did think it was probably linked to the Zoladex but haven’t been given any info on it - other than what I can find on google! I’m 2 weeks in so hopefully in a week or so it will ease. Think the cramping and post-lap sore tummy just aren’t a happy combo! Thanks again xx
