Pain on the pill?

Hi all, for those of you on the pill without a break for a period, do you still get symptoms and if so, does it have any pattern? I'm now taking the pill back to back to see if it helps my symptoms but all it seems to have done is take away any form of a pattern. Its easily just as bad but now i dont know when to expect it. Xx

Hey hun - answer is YES!

I take cerazette (mini pill) and I still have all of the symptoms. I've been taking this pill since I was round 16 (now nearly 25) and went without a period for around 18 months - 2 years when I first started taking it and it was amazing...However my periods slowly crept back in and I now can't go 6/7 days without passing blood anymore. My periods are totally irregular and I get pain whether I'm bleeding or not, as well as the other IBS type pains as well as vomiting, headaches and extreme fatigue.

Personally I wouldn't recommend a break, I did this and my period pain was even worse than normal and I genuinely ended up in an Ambulance and taken to A&E, I couldn't stand or walk (although I'm not a medical professional) so perhaps worth having a discussion with your doctor if you want to try this.

Sorry I don't feel I've been much help but would rather be honest about my experience.

Take care hun, keep pushing your Doctors to help you with your other symptoms. There are always other options.

X

Thanks for the reply. I started the pill about 6 months ago and decided to try a break after a few month. I agree, big mistake! Since then the symptoms have come back and are worse now than they've been for a while. I'll have to see how this goes and what my consultant can do to help when i see them early Jan. X

Yes yes and YES!! I have daily pain and the pill always made it worse for me . I currently am on a new pill (month 2) and no improvements however I was told to hang in there and honestl give it at least 3-5 months on a good healthy diet . It’s the body healing and adjusting to new hormones . The whole point of the pill is to increase synthetic progesterone in your blood stream to waste away the endometriosis tissue and also stop any further inflammation from periods . I guess the body just needs time to heal. Hang in there!!!! Hopefully it will work for us xxxx

Thanks. I'm supposed to be getting my next appointment in early jan so i'll give it until then. Since these pains have come back i'm also getting terrible bloating which i dont normally get but i assume thats all part of the fun!? I hope your symptoms start to improve soon. Xx
