So after waiting since 2nd January for my lap and having had my date cancelled twice I am now nearing the date of my lap, has anyone had surgery recently and can give me some insight into how things might have changed due to covoid? Thanks x

Lap on Monday FINALLY
Hey.
I had mine on 9th September. Everything was pretty much the same only difference for me was being alone & having to wear a mask until I was taken down. Good luck and I hope everything goes well for you. Xx
I had my cancelled too because of covid, I finally got seen 1st Sept, lots of waiting around to be seen, having to wear your mask all day, being alone.
Hope it goes well for you. X
I had mine done last Friday. I had to isolate at home for 3 days, have a covid test 4 days before and they ask you to wear a mask when you're in the hospital communal areas. I had mine done at a private clinic so once in my room I didnt have to keep my mask on. I wasn't allowed to have anyone come with me unless they are a carer or translater. I would take an overnight bag just incase as I ended up staying the night due to being one of the last surgeries that day.
Hope it all goes well
That’s great you’ve got it sorted 👍😀
Overnight bag is good to take just in case.
Hope you aren’t too worried, much easier than I’d expected. Let us know how you get on 🙂
i have mine on 9 october. i asked for 2 weeks self isolated, 3 days before laps take covid test and one day before laps get called that result negative and will go ahead. during laps will be alone and bring night robe and slipper and few pack underwear and over night clothes just incase after lap you cant handle the pain and end up stay at hospital. i had 2 night 1 days at hospital becoz 4 codeine 2 paracetamol cant get rid the pain. so doctor give me oral morphine too cope it/ at least i can sleep without pain.
