If it’s different pain to normal worth getting it checked, unless you are sure. There could be other factors such as UTI.
Sometimes medication can take time to work. What else have you tried. I started amitriptyline about four weeks ago and only just began to think it could be working.
I don’t get much pain now *touches wood* As I have the Mirena coil but my neice who also has endo has recently got a TENS machine and said it’s really helping.
Hi ilytotoro,
I have monthly reflexology and for me it really helps. I suffered a lot during lockdown and as soon as I could have reflexology again, I booked an appointment straight away. I've had 2 sessions since the restrictions lifted and my pain levels have become a bit more tolerable again. I do take mefanimic acid when on my period too. I also have frequent CBD Himalayan salt baths, they help with endo belly too. Stress is a huge trigger, so 'me time' is essential x
So here is a list of the slightly oddball things that have worked for me at some point:
Aloe supplement, quercetin supplement, topical capsaicin, menthol/camphor patches (like for arthritis, but I put them on my abdomen), eating foods containing capsaicin (such as spicy peppers or curry), hot baths, antihistamines, osteopathic manipulation, yoga, light walking, cramp bark supplement, magnesium supplement.
Of course, a heating pad or hot water bottle is also worth a try, and ibuprofen or paracetamol help some people too. There is also some physical therapy that some women find helpful.
I hope you find some relief soon!
