I’m soon going to be starting a 6 month treatment on zoladex and I was just wondering what everyones personal experiences have been on the medication as I’m nervous.
What sort of side affects have you had with it and have you found any difficulties in going back to normal after stopping it? Would it be wise to ask for my eggs to be frozen before starting it?

I’d be grateful for any insights too as my gynae has advised zoladex as my next treatment too. I’ve been on decapeptyl injections before which were great for a while until the brain fog side effects kicked in. I’m not quite sure on the similarities / differences.
Im now starting my second lot for 6 months for endometriosis i am due a hysterectomy but covid 19 has halted it .. i had 6 months worth a year ago I found they help me loads the pain It was 90 per cent gone.. the first month side affects i found was not great was the hot flushes but can manage them and joint aches and pains but id rather have that than endo pain .... ... feel free to ask more question as ive had my first injection a week ago just tired feeling at the mo.
I was on it for 9 months ... helped with heavy periods I had weight loss and my hair grew linger and thicker. I had endo and pcos. Doc put me on this and gave me hrt. I took hrt pills but felt the patched worked better.
To start I had a headache, and I think the first month I had a period and they they stopped. You will get dry down below as it’s a falsed menapause. I did get hot flushes but I upped my hrt to help with it.
Best thing I ever did . 2 years later pregnant via Ivf first time -
It’s ok to be nervous but other that the headache - which did go away and getting the right dosage of hrt I loved it !
Hi, I was it on for 6 months. Absolutely fantastic! Symptom free. I think the start I had some cramps and the symptoms like hot flashes. But generally amazing I’m starting it again!
