Hi there everyone, I’m new to this group and was looking for advice. It’s currently still waiting to be diagnosed. I’ve suffered symptoms from I was 14 and now they have increasingly got worse as I’ve gotten older. Yesterday I had to go to A&E as I’ve been in an unbearable amount of pain and a unusual amount of discharge and all I was given was some paracetamol. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on ways to manage this pain or could share some light on their experience if it was similar? I don’t know anyone who has been diagnosed with endometriosis and to be honest I’m quite scared..

Have you met a specialist or not?
I’m not sure I can offer much help, but I’m going through the same thing so you’re not alone!
Pain was also unbearable for me and I’ve been in and out of A&E all week. Finally, my doctor prescribed me codeine and that’s the only thing that’s worked for me.
Hi, so sorry to hear you’re in that much pain ❤️
I went through a similar thing when my symptoms first started. I found it really important to tell GP/A&E drs what pain medication you’ve already tried and explain it’s not helped at all. They usually try to prescribe paracetamol/ibuprofen in the beginning and I was only prescribed codeine and IV pain meds after phoning my GP daily to explain l had taken what they prescribed every 3-4 hours and was still in unbearable pain.
Unfortunately you have to push to be heard and taken seriously. Don’t give up though, let them know frequently it’s not working and they will be more likely to help. Xx
Thank you, I’ve been on the phone a lot today with the doctor, he’s prescribed me some codine and is pushing for my procedure to be marked as urgent.. hopefully it will work. He also discussed putting me on some more birth control to see if they help me too, is anyone else on this? Xx
